Connecting with Law Short Film Competition
Digital | Print
This High Education campaign for Oxford University Press adopts a pop art style to entice student participation in a filmmaking competition while promoting a textbook. Creating a graphic to represent both law and film saw the combination of a judge’s gavel and a filmmaker’s clapperboard: two items used by hand in an upward / downward motion. Blue tones are borrowed from the cover of the textbook to create a background that is reminiscent of a projector’s light beam / film premiere searchlights, and a bold ‘Pop Art style’ typeface adds a sense of fun to a generally serious discipline.
